TOMA teatro, and change the narrative
TOMA2025 is here. The gathering of Theater of the Oppressed in Madrid (Lavapiés) organised by Bajando al Sur arrives. Social collectives from different parts of Europe will take over, for 5 days, the theatres and squares of the district, to rebel against the discourses of fear and hate, and go on stage in defence of human rights.
From 27 May to 1 June, we will meet with more than 20 organisations dedicated to Theatre of the Oppressed, from 8 different EU countries, to organise more than 15 artistic actions (forums, workshops and performances), to which you are all invited to come and participate.
We will be in up to 7 different spaces in Lavapiés, where we will share techniques and strategies that are being developed within the Theatre of the Oppressed in different contexts in Europe, to promote local actions to confront anti-human rights discourses.
For those of you who want to live this experience to the fullest, subscriptions are already open, and for those of you who can only sign up for individual activities, we will soon be opening the inscriptions. We are also organising free and open access events. Don’t miss out!
